We are delighted to announce our re-launch with UP DOWN BIG MAN, a co-production with Wiltshire Creative in association with The Wardrobe Ensemble. Myrtle Theatre Company creates fresh, powerful productions that surprise and inspire our audiences.

We enable unique collaborations between experienced professional theatre makers and people from a wide cross section of society. This allows us to create authentic and meaningful new plays about the extraordinary lives of ordinary people.

“It was an extraordinary privilege to welcome Up Down Boy to the National Theatre. It was written, acted and directed with the kind of flair and integrity that you only find in the best theatre; and it brought an audience to the National that we’d like to see much more of.”

- Sir Nicholas Hytner

“It is rare that a piece of theatre moves, amuses and challenges in equal measure. Myrtle Theatre manages all three in a seemingly effortless blend of stark realism, modern myth and musical theatre.“
